It’s all in the lid design!
That’s right. It’s the lid design that makes the difference on this product; the lids have REAL hinges which makes these durable long term.There are similar type glass storage containers with plastic lids however, those other competitors typically employ a snapping lid type that doesn’t have real hinges. They rely on a thinned seam along the snap that allows the lid to fold down. It folds; it does NOT hinge like this product’s lid does. This means that over time the types that fold will weaken and eventually tear (see the attached picture of one that tore) along the seam meaning that the lid is now garbage. But, because this product has real hinges that pivot along a pin they will not tear. It’s also nice that these lids have removable gaskets should you wish to hand wash them separately. I don’t…I just toss them in the top shelf of the dishwasher.Beyond the great lid design the containers are made of borosilicate glass which is the best type for food heating and cooling. Another nice and often overlooked feature is that there is a lip around the top edge of each container. This allows you to more securely hold the container when removing it from the oven. Some glass containers have no lip at the top at all (just smooth) and because of this they can easily slip out of your hands when you are trying to remove a very hot container. I’ve had Pyrex containers that had no handles or lip at the top and I’ve come close to them slipping out of my hands.Overall, I consider these to be one of the best food storage container sets you can get for a very reasonable prices, especially when on sale for $30 or less. With the real hinge design I expect these containers to be much more durable versus the other type without real hinged lids.See my other reviews to check out my technique to store the containers and the lids.

2nd set purchased!
This is actually my second set to purchase. I really like them! The sizes are versatile and lids seal yet are easy on and off. They are very handy. I will say same sizes don’t stack within one another well but smaller stacks within larger. And I consider it a small price to pay for something I am using daily.

Uniform, well-made, and functional
So far so good. Although they are all the same size, they seem to be a practical size for leftovers for my family of 5. Slowly trying to rid the house of plastic containers and these are great! We love the frig to heating up ease and the fact you can lay it on the granite counter hot and not shatter the container bc of the protective covering. Not sure how those will hold up over time bc we haven’t been using them a month but they appear to be of good quality. I’ll come back and adjust my review if they don’t hold up.

Perfect for my use but lid is not glass
I’ve owned many meal prep containers and these are a better than the others. The size is a bit larger which helps when you try to fit bones or when you feel like you’ll need a larger meal. The rubber outside helps to hold the container without burning your hands. The only misleading part that I noticed is that they advertise this as having a “glass lid”. The lid it’s NOT glass but if you read the instructions, it says that it’s not recommended to leave the lid on, since the rubber band around it (sealing band) can lose elasticity it you heat it up. For these reasons, I don’t leave the lid on while warming the food and instead cover it with paper towel. I don’t like false advertisement and hope they do the right thing and remove the “glass lid” from the selling page.

Best food storage set I’ve ever owned
I’ve owned many food storage sets in my day and just ordered a new set last week during Prime Days. I have a drawer in the kitchen that used to be filled with random plastic lids and and mountain of containers. I spent a lot of time trying to match them up when I needed one. I tossed those out and now just use these. The lids lock in place perfectly every time. They can be popped into the microwave, and what’s more, all the parts that touch your food are made of glass, so I don’t have to worry about any chemicals leaching into my food.The one thing I’ll say, after two years of every day use, one of the containers chipped when I took it out of the dishwasher. I obviously had to toss it out immediately. So it might be good practice to look at your containers to make sure they’re still in good condition after you wash them. For me, it’s well worth it for the benefits of glass and the ease of use.

They are wonderful! I love these colorful topper wear since they are so easy to distinguish. Easy to wash. They are ideal to pack lunch for kids. Unbreakable with the caoutchouc protection. The size is just right for lunch packing. They are the best to pack lunch for kids. Unlike plastic container wih PVC, they are safe to microwave.
