Seamless connection to Alexa
These light bulbs connect with Alexa seamlessly. The setup is so easy and work well with Alexa.They are more of a warm white with yellow tones rather than a cool white. The bulbs are not as bright as my previous Sengled cool white bulbs, which no longer work with Alexa! However, I think they will be bright enough.

Replacing Sengled bulbs.
I’m replacing the Sengled smart bulbs that we’ve had for several years. They have stopped working as smart bulbs, not even responding to their own app. So far these Amazon basics bulbs are working perfectly. We have other Amazon basics products and have not been disappointed.

These work well, but not recommended for quiet rooms
We bought several of these to replace Sengled bulbs. Good price, reliable, and super easy to setup. Alexa sees them immediately and makes it easy to add them. They generally work well.The reason for 3 stars is that when these are off using Alexa, they buzz loud enough to hear in a quiet room. We put them in the bedroom and we have to turn the light switch off to sleep. They are fine in other rooms because the ambient noise cancels out the buzz. I’m looking at other WiFi bulbs to replace the ones in the bedroom, but these will be used elsewhere.

These work great, they look great, they are reliable and super easy to set up.

The lights themselves are good and work very reliably with Alexa once set up. Unlike a few of the 1 star reviewers, I have not found that they lose their settings if powered off so all good there too. The setup though, given that I have an Eero network, ticked the ‘pre configure to my Amazon account’ checkbox, and use Alexa speakers (so a 100% Amazon ecosystem) was surprisingly messy. E.g. there was no option to add them automatically to my existing network and, even more strangely, the one network that wasn’t detected when I was asked to select one to use was the same one that all my Amazon stuff is connected to. That meant for every bulb – I bought 8 – I had to type in my network SSID and my (long and complicated) password. Irritating but not the end of the world I guess and, unlike the Sengled WiFi bulbs I was replacing, I can reasonably expect these to continue working with Alexa while Amazon is still in business.
