Nope! Our tablets include a rinse aid ingredient, so no extra rinse-aid is needed.
Does water type matter with the tablets?
Nope! Our tablets have been tested and proven to perform across varying types of water.

Conventional dishwasher pods and pacs are wrapped in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)—a plastic film that dissolves, but does not disappear. Instead, these tiny plastic particles persist in our environment as microplastics and nanoplastics.

solved gut issues
This dishwasher detergent is great! It leaves things clean and streak free. I got the scent free which is very nice.I got this product because I have had gut issues for a while. I suspected that dishwasher soap leaving a residue on glassware and dishes was part of the issue. I have now noticed that I have fewer gut issues since using this product. Could be coincidence but I don’t think so.I will be continuing to use Blueland DW tablets.

I like how these have no plastic and they seem to clean well. I have to wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher due to the dishwashers lack of efficiency, but these still seem to work well to clean. They also have a hint of lemon smell.

I’ve slowly been working to switch all my kitchen products out for non toxic swaps. I was nervous about switching dish washer pods because I didn’t want to have yucky residue dishes that I ended up needing to be hand washed after coming out of the dish washer. These pods did not disappoint! They clean well and leave no yucky residue. I feel better putting my babies dishes/passy/teether toys in the dishwasher using the pods as they are non toxic and give a high quality clean. Bonus points that they are also eco friendly! Definitely worth the money for all that and I will continue to use them!

My hormones made me more sensitive to toxic tastes and smells since I’ve been trying to conceive., so I purchased this one as an experiment after doing a search on fragrance-free, non-toxic, and eco-friendly products that also work efficiently. This product works well with our powerful Bosche dishwasher, similar to how good our previous product, Cascade dishwasher detergent pods, does, without the residual flavor like Cascade in the mouth- it cleans well, with occasional partial residues that require touch up work, but this could happen in any detergent, so I’m happy. I actually bought the bigger packager one later. The only drawback is that I wish it was cheaper, or participate in more of Amazon’s promotional events.

Whats Old is New Again, Detergent Pods Without the Plastic
We have all been reading about the problems experienced with those handy little detergent and dishwasher pods–mainly that the plastic doesn’t always dissolve and the resulting damage to washer or dishwasher can be very expensive and difficult to repair. Not too long ago, you could purchase a detergent type pod without the plastic. I have not been able to find any in the stores recently and have been looking for an alternative to plastic sealed pods.There are several on the online marketplace that boast not only no plastic cover but are more organic, or have more natural ingredients then the store bought brands. Enter Blueland. I tried it. I really like it. There is no residue or remains in the dispenser cup (I tried the dishwasher pods first) and the dishes are sparkly clean. The cost is about the same. But, I feel like I am doing something good for the environment (because the ingredients are more natural) and keeping my expensive machines from harm. The only caveat I have, is the packaging. I bought the 60 count. It arrived in a nice, paper bag, that got sliced by other items in the delivery (poor packaging on Amazon’s side I am sorry to say). The package split open, and several tablets were broken. I can use them but it was a mess and a waste of product. I have seen where you can purchase this item in its own hardside container. That’s how I am buying it next time. Because, I am buying it again. It is a good item.

Clean Ingredients, plastic free and they work!
We recently made the switch to these. Im happy we did! Certified clean ingredients! Planet friendly packaging and plastic free! The tablets not having a plastic wrap they dissolve so much better. Can’t wait to try other Blueland products!

It’s important to me to buy products that do not use animal testing, so before I found Blueland I was happy to find some dishwashing tablets that were cruelty free. It took me a while to realize that these tablets were contributing to the microplastic problem because they were individually wrapped in thin plastic. I had to find something else, and I found these Blueland Dishwasher Detergent tablets. They are small, and they are not wrapped in plastic. They seemed to do a good job in my old dishwasher. The other day I realized that my drinking glasses no long had spots on them, which I had just accepted as a fact of life. Gone! Everything is nicely clean, even the pots. I am really happy because I found a product that works great, is cruelty-free, and isn’t wrapped in plastic or packaged in plastic. I am going to try other Blueland products as I need them.

Favourite dish soap ever! Will be reordering monthly! It cleans the dishes well, does not have a strong smell and does not stain our stainless dishwasher of leave a residue! This is supposed to be the healthiest dish soap you can purchase!

Really wanted to move to these more eco friendly dishwasher tablets but they’re terrible. They leave residue inside glasses, mugs and bowls. Tried them on different settings and also 2 tablets at a time but same results. Poor product.

Works as good if not better than other human/planet/environment friendly options without having plastic. Thinking about the plastic wrapper melting off and sticking to our dishes was creeping me out so much that I was defaulting to hand washing on many occasions before blueland became available in Canada.

I have tried various non toxic natural cleaning products and not been overly impressed. BUT……this product although quite pricey is definitely worth it – especially when combined with a natural rinse aid ( I use ecozone dry and shine rinse aid). No smears, great cleaning and no nasty ‘plasticky’ after smell on plates and mugs/glasses. Highly recommend. I will be using regularly now and have ditched the unhealthy toxic plastic dishwasher pods I was using .
