Perfect for about 6-8 books
I check out a half dozen or more books from the library at a time. I have to keep them somewhere besides my bookcase because I have been known to think I lost a library book when it was hiding in plain sight. This cute Book Storage Basket is ideal for me. It’s the right size and shape to hold my supply of TBR books. It’s easy to read the titles on the spines without pulling them out. It’s long enough that my fabric book tote fits next to the books when folded. It’s sturdy, but lighter than the wooden crate I was previously using. This storage basket has functional thick rope handles to pick it up and move around. All the materials are good quality and the fabric lining is a nice touch. It’s a good value, better than a basic basket.

Book lover’s guilty pleasure
Let’s get real… this storage basket is HORRIFICALLY OVERPRICED… but.. it IS cute and I like it WAY MORE than I probably should, based on the price. I’d likely have never gotten it from Amazon if I was’t a Vine member because Temu and Daiso have similar baskets that are much cheaper (and it’d be easy enough to DIY those plain options). I’m sure that Barnes and Noble has/will soon have similar items which are of a much higher quality. So the price is one reason why I can’t give this a perfect rating.If you do order this, just know that the basket may not be as aesthetically perfect as it appears in the official product photos because the material can easily crease. It’s not soft/pliable enough to naturally stay smooth. It’s constructed with a wire frame and wrapped in a stiff material. The rope is thick and soft, which is a nice touch. I got the basket with no pocket, but I think the pocket option would be nice because you could store different bookmarks in there.I didn’t pay much attention to the dimensions of this basket when I chose it (cause on Vine, if you snooze, you lose!) but was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED that I could fit my books inside in various ways because the basket is roomier than it appears in the official photos. Looking at most of the other reviewers’ added photos, it looks like they placed their books upright with the spine out. I’ve opted to fit them in more snugly- with the spines facing upward. I appreciate its versatility and actually consider it to be a saving grace when considering the cost. Greater functionality is always a plus. If it only fit trade paperbacks in the upright position, I don’t think I’d have liked it so much.So I’m giving this 4 stars because, no exaggeration, I absolutely needed something to get my bedside books in order and it matches my decor.
