I usually make my own deodorant because I’m a feral desert babe, but I ran out of supplies and had to do my crawl back to the Bezos Beast for a quick delivery. I was fully expecting disappointment and aluminum betrayal, but instead I found this gem. It’s got ingredients I recognize and even use in my own homemade mixtures. I am not into anything that will sneak attack my lymph nodes. There isn’t a chemical word salad with this brand, just pretty much the safer stuff. The scent is surprisingly really nice. I am serious about my rose botanical scents. This one is light and not trying to cosplay as a sugary cupcake or a bad perfume knockoff. Texture wise it is smooth as hell when applying without any visible chalky residue. The real magic is that I’m a woman who rocks natural, untouched kitten pits. I keep them visibly soft and fluffy, and this stuff glides over my silk, fur underarm ecosystem without clumping, matting, or giving me a haunted Victorian ghost armpit look. Bless the women who came before us who helped inspire my own recipe, but I can’t do the ghost pit look. Also, the sweat control is surprisingly solid. I’m not a full body Niagara Falls, but I’m no dry petal either. This kept me fresh through desert heat, emotional spirals, and my spontaneous dance breaks in my hot kitchen while making many dozen homemade loaves of sourdough for my friends and desert neighbors.If you aren’t used to deodorant in a jar, I know, I know. It might seem weird at first. Give it one week, and you’ll be rubbing that balm into your glorious self, and it will feel more like a self-care ritual. Honestly, it’s better than any roll-on because it feels like body care, instead of body management, and in the weird time we are all living in, even a few seconds of that makes a difference.Highly recommend to my fellow homemade handcrafted witches, rebels, and body sensitive babes.

I love this stuff! I have been looking for a natural deodorant (that works) for a long time. This is it :)I feel like the price is fair because you only need to use a tiny amount and it lasts a long time. I have only tried the coconut scent, it is a light smell and very pleasant. I don’t always leave a review but I had to for this product and I already look forward to trying more of the scents. It’s not greasy and I just use a little spatula to scoop out a little bit of it and then wipe my hands after application. Love it!

UPDATE UPDATE: Eco Roots mailed me a care package and apology letter, which completely stunned me. I’ve never experienced a brand doing this before. The package included a replacement deodorant, as well as shampoo, lip balm, and facial moisturizer. The new deodorant jar has a nice, creamy consistency and a subtle coconut smell. I’ve been really enjoying using it, as well as the other products they sent. The letter explained that the clumps from my original jar can form if the product heats and then cools too rapidly during the shipping process.I’ll definitely be purchasing from them again, as I like the deodorant and their other products, and their commitment to a great customer experience.UPDATE: Eco Roots reached out to me to provide a refund, so I’m inclined to believe I simply got a bad batch. I’m willing to try some of their other products, because they seem to be a good brand.Original review below:I don’t know if I received a bad batch, but my jar is filled with tiny clumps and the deodorant has an overall thin, liquid-y consistency. It seems like it could be a good product, as I’ve used it twice with no skin irritation, but I can’t get over the texture. The little clumps do melt into my skin when I rub the deodorant in, but having to rub the clumps in is such a gross experience that I don’t know if I want to keep using it lol

Great if you have sensitive skin.
This deodorant is effective. It is aluminum free, unscented and does not leave a white film on clothing. I like the fact that they do not use plastic. The jar is glass with a metal lid. The paste feels grainy at first but is quickly absorbed and smooth when you apply it.

Fantastic stuff! Hard for me to find deodorant that works, too…
Totally worth it. In my teen years I needed Mitchum (very strong stuff) and in my earlier adult years, Degree was the only thing I knew that worked for me. When I went aluminum free and natural, I tried a ton of deodorants but the vast majority were not even close to good enough. But this stuff works fantastic for me. Over 24 hours after first use, using a small amount, the pits are totally neutral (after most of the day smelling really nice with the coconut aroma –I kept checking) and the “total body” man parts claim is equally effective after a long hot day at work. I feel like this stuff will work for another day without a re-application. 100% recommended. I tried that Mando stuff (victim of advertisement!) and that smelled awful and wore off in half a day. This stuff is the real deal.(Day 3 update)Fell asleep watching TV last night and skipped a shower for the second night in a row since using this, and still no bad smell going on 72 hours with no reapplication…)

A great natural deo option!
I want to start with saying that this deodorant smells so good! Sometimes coconut in deodorants can smell pretty icky and fake, but this was lovely.I did have issue with the packaging. It was open a bit, and it looked like the deodorant separated at some point. Some parts of the jar’s contents were smooth, but some was quite lumpy and grainy? I’m still going to use it! The smell is delightful, and it’s lasting well. The lumps were a little off-putting, but they melted well into my skin.
