Incredible Product
They can be pretty sensitive when trying to set up with the app and require 2.4 WiFi but have not had issues with them. I love the scheduling and being able to adjust these to different white hues and different colors. I bought 1 initially then another 2. I have one on each side of the bed for my wife and I to use but are also in sync. Great product. The only bummer is that Siri does not work with the Cync app and there’s no way to link them. None of this requires a paid subscription. Lot of reviews from people who clearly struggle with technology.

Easy to set up, convenient to use
I bought two of these just to try them out and I’ve been so happy with them, I just bought two more. Some other smart lights I have tried out (Philips Hue) use Bluetooth only (unless you buy a proprietary smart hub for $80), but these Cync bulbs use wi-fi and work with Google Home without having to buy a hub. These are very easy to set up! The Cync app is great, has all sorts of fun color effects, and also has the ability to create “routines.” However, since I am mostly just doing on/off or bright/dim at specific times of day, I found it easier to use Google Home app to automate these. That app will also let you adjust the color, but it won’t do the special effects. And since it connects over wi-fi instead of Bluetooth, you can control the lights from anywhere over the internet. I can even control the lights with my smart watch. With Bluetooth, you have to be a short distance away from the light, and it can be a pain to connect.

Full Color or color temperature settings. Can be dimmed to 1%
Easy to set up with the Cync app. Requires a Wi-Fi connection. Works well with Google Home app. Reconnects automatically after a power outage is restored.

Great colors, connectivity a little inconsistent
I have 4 of these bulbs, two are paired as one in a single fixture located in a bedroom, and two are in separate fixtures on opposite walls in my living room. I like the color choices and ability to save colors you like to switch between. One light is set to come on daily for a certain period of time, and besides once it has always turned on and off as programmed.I only use the Cync app (on an iphone). I dont have any other Alexa or Google home devices so I found using the Google home app pointless. Cync app seems to do everything I want.My only complaint is when I want to tweak/adjust the lights I have to be in the room with them. So my two living room lights can only be adjusted from in there, and the bedroom lights can only be adjusted if youre in the room, or right outside the door. The app tends to only communicate well when you are near the bulb you want to adjust. This isnt a deal breaker for me, but I live in a small house so it seems like connectivity wouldnt be an issue. My other WIFI devices get a strong signal in those rooms.Maybe the flaw is with the Cync app. I guess its possible it only wants to connect to the bulbs via bluetooth when making adjustments, and therefore has trouble communicating with that large of a radius simultaneously. But supposedly they use WIFI and bluetooth. I’m just not sure how the technology is being utilized.Update: Everything is working perfectly now. My problem was the first bulbs I setup were a little further from my wifi router than the others, and I guess the bulbs create some sort of mesh network allowing them to work together and stay interconnected. Must be a Cync thing. Bottomline all I had to do was remove/delete the pair I setup first, which made one of the bulbs closer to my router the sorta main communicator or creator of the mesh network. Added the bulb pair back, and now everything works great. Lights are controllable from anywhere I have a network connection from the Cync app. Think I’ll leave my rating at 4 stars though.

One of the best smart bulbs in this price range
One of the best multicolor smart bulbs I have used in this price range. I mostly use the whites and the brightness is sufficient. The color mode is significantly less bright than the whites. The mobile app, at least on Android is well made and the setup is super easy. I have multiple of them and I never noticed that one of the bulbs was unable to connect to my WiFi as the other bulbs provide a mesh network for bulbs that are not able to connect to the network for some reason. It just works without the need to fiddle with it. I wish they came with support for 5GHz WiFi. Having to split the network every time for setup is a bit annoying but once it’s done, I just merged the bands back and the bulbs have always worked. I have noticed that the Google Assistant sometimes forgets to operate 1 out of the many bulbs I have, but a quick nudge from the GE app restores the sync.

Great bulbs
These bulbs are so responsive and the app is easy to use. It was easy to set them up and the color options are great! They even have light shows you can put on!

Easy Home Assistant Integration with Matter
Updated review:I’m now disappointed with these. I can’t get them to reliably stay connected. The matter connection simply stopped working for no apparent reason. I’m stuck using the cync app which, admittedly, has a pretty good integration with Home Assistant, but I also had to create an automation to reload the integration because it drops so often. GE support tried to help me through it, but it was kinda slow and I got tired of it.In the end I also wish they dimmed a bit lower. I replaced the GE relax regular LED bulbs which get super low and can double a a night light. These don’t dim quite enough, and they’re too bright to use as night lights.Original Review below—I got these bulbs because an independent tester said they have a good CRI and low flicker for white lights, and for Matter support. I use Home Assistant, and I am uninterested in interacting with any 3rd party apps. I found that these lights integrated flawlessly without the need to download the Cync app, and I was really happy with it. I bought these used, and had to factory reset them, which was easily done by slowly turning them off and on again 5 times.I find them to be responsive and maintain connectivity well, and the color control is good. Matter integration appears well done, making the Cync app completely optional if you have another matter capable ecosystem.

I bought these to set up in my room to wake me up in the morning with light. It worked perfectly. The only thing is, you have to keep your lights on from the switch and only turn them on and off from your phone. But it’s easy to get used to.
