These baby books are adorable…. one farm-themed and one ocean-themed, both full of little surprises. The tails are my favorite part. The whale tail, the crab claws, the horse tail, and that cute little duck all stick out and give tiny hands something to grab. The pages have crinkles, textures, and bright colors, and the books are soft and thin, making them easy to pack. I am bringing them to Italy for my granddaughter, and they will fit right in my luggage with no problem.The quality is charming. The stitching is tight, and the fabrics feel sturdy enough for chewing and pulling, which is precisely what she is doing at this age. They are soft, non-toxic, and BPA-free, and the textures feel great in the hands. There is even a little mirror tucked inside, along with some sliding pieces that provide additional opportunities for her to explore. They feel like the kind of books that will survive months of baby excitement without ripping.I love that each book has a Velcro strap at the top so I can attach it to her swing or stroller and not worry about it falling to the ground. These are the perfect 1st book for little babies! They’re soft, colorful and safe to put in their mouth! There’s a variety of sounds they make as well – squeaks, crinkles, etc. There’s flaps to lift and a variety of textures as well! I love that they come with strings to Velcro them to a stroller, car seat, etc so they aren’t easily dropped! All in all, good gift for a 0-6 month old!

Our youngest granddaughter is at the age where crinkly cloth books are one of her favourite toys. She’ll spend long periods of time interacting with them, looking at the pictures while exploring all the textures available and creating as many different sounds as she can.The two books which make up this set each measure eight and a half inches by five inches. Each opens up to display four double sided scenes; one book features sea animals and the other farm animals. The books are considerably larger than the similar books which my granddaughter plays with and, in this case, it’s an advantage. There’s sufficient room on the pages to have multiple creatures to look at as well as a variety of manipulative elements. Happily, the various animals pictured are very engaging with large eyes and smiles; many feature extremities which can be played with (eg. the whale’s tail and fins, the turtle’s shell, the crab’s pincers).The sea book contains two three dimensional animals (a fish and starfish) which can be moved about (although they cannot be detached from the book). The farm book has a larger, fully detachable duck that can be held and played with.The variety of textures presented in the books is impressive ranging from silky skin to furry ears to bumpy tails to fuzzy wool. While the sounds mostly consist of rustles and crinkles, both books do have a squeaker in them. Both books also feature flaps and hidden pockets which hide various elements; there’s even a mirror hidden in an oyster shell in place of a pearl. The colors are bright and the books are machine washable; there is a small strap with a velcro fastener to attach it to a stroller, crib, or lounger.As you can probably tell, my wife and I are quite enamoured with this book. It probably has more interactive elements than any baby book we’ve ever come across. While, at the current price of $33 CAD (with coupon), these two books may be more expensive than many of their competitors, they certainly deliver a quality, educational experience for young children, helping them develop a lifelong love of books. They would make a thoughtful lovely gift for a newborn or young baby. Highly recommended.
