Very durable, user friendly for babies, just the right size, lightweight, and 9/10 on leakproof.
These have been great for my 9 month old. He’s been using them for 3 months and loves them. He’s can hold them by himself, they’re easy to clean, and food particles and spit don’t flow down the straw into the bottle (the water can only go out, not come back in), because of how they’re designed. They are very durable, are just the right size, nice and lightweight, and are a 9/10 on leakproof.

Awesome product very thankful
My baby is learning how to use a straw right now. She places her mouth on this straw and I just squeeze it just a little bit and the water comes right out. She’s getting the hang of it a lot faster than the other cups that we are not able to squeeze. This is a must have for babies teething as well because the silicone straws very soft usually products like this are hard to clean, but this one is not. The straw comes apart easily and is very easy and a quick wash.

Excellent Transition Cup with Smart Design – Minor Spill Trade-off for Great Learning Tool
As a parent navigating the transition from bottle to straw drinking, I found The First Years Straw Cups to be an outstanding training tool that made the learning process surprisingly smooth. What Makes These Cups Effective:Innovative Squeeze Feature: The genius of this cup is the ability to gently squeeze it to push liquid up through the straw, teaching your baby the mechanics of straw drinking. Within days of consistent use, my child understood the concept and began drinking independently without any prompting. This hands-on teaching method is far more effective than just hoping they figure it out.Safety-Conscious Design: The soft, flexible straw tip is gentle on tender gums and emerging teeth. I appreciate that there’s no hard plastic poking around in my baby’s mouth during this oral development stage.Easy Maintenance: Dishwasher safe components make cleanup effortless—a must-have feature for busy parents dealing with multiple cups throughout the day.Value: At this price point, you’re getting excellent quality without the premium cost of some competitor brands. I felt comfortable buying multiple cups to keep in different locations. One Design Consideration:Due to the straw configuration, liquid remains in the upper portion of the straw after drinking rather than draining back down. This means minor spills can occur when the cup is tipped or opened, especially in diaper bags. However, this is a small trade-off for the effective learning mechanism. I simply ensure the cup is upright when transporting or keep it in a sealed pocket.Bottom Line: These cups successfully bridged the gap between bottle and independent straw drinking for my child. The squeeze-to-teach feature is invaluable, and the minor spill issue is manageable with basic precautions. Highly recommend for the 6-12 month transition period.

You need this!
I love this cup! This cup is great for babies starting to learn to drink out of a straw. You’re able to squeeze the bottle to push the water through the straw. It is leak proof, lightweight so little on can hold. Overall a great cup that will grow with them.

Great first straw cup, but they do leak.
Awesome trainer straw cup. Whole thing comes apart and goes in the dishwasher. BUT, they leak from where the straw connects to the lid (not the straw itself) when tipped over. All babies throw and drop cups. I wish expected age would account for this in the design.

Great for toddlers to learn how to use a straw
Very light weight and easy to use. Love how you can gently squeeze the sides to get the water to come out. Its been thrown on the floor and a few droplets came out but no major spills. It’s a great size for learning to use a straw, it’s also nice that it comes in a 3 pack.

Easy for baby and mommy!
We had trouble getting our little one to learn to use a straw until we tried these cups. She learned almost instantly after the first time with this cup. What makes this cup different is that you can squeeze the sides of the bottle gently and the liquid will come up the straw. This way once baby puts the straw in her mouth we would squeeze the bottle and some liquid would enter her mouth and she realized if she sucked the straw she could drink. There are little bumps along the outside of the cup which helps baby grip the cup especially if their little hands are dirty and slippery from food. The straw has a one-way valve so it minimizes backwash and it does not spill easily when she knocks it over or if we take the bottle with us on the go.The best part is washing it is very easy as there are very few parts. We love using this cup!

Helpful for teaching how to use a straw
We started using these around the 6 month mark and they’ve been such a good transition cup from bottles. The straw is soft and easy for little ones to use, and the cup is lightweight so my baby can hold it on her own. I love that it’s squeezable to help teach how to use a straw, and so far they’ve been easy to clean and haven’t leaked for us. The colors are cute and it’s really nice having a set to rotate through during the day. Definitely recommend for babies learning to drink independently. The small bumps on the sides make it less slippery for my baby to hold when she’s eating.

Me encantaron y a mi bebé más, le agarró la onda súper rápido. No gotean, son livianos y el material de buena calidad, los popotes superiores son de silicona así que no lastiman las encías. Amamoooos!
