    Waring v. Vitamix v. Blendtec
I did a TON of research on Vitamix, Blendtec, and Waring blenders. We wanted a high power blender to make smoothies, nut butters, and mixed drinks. This led me to the Waring and I have been extremely happy so far. Here are my thoughts:Waring – Powerful blender with simple(unlikely to fail) paddle controls. No need to use a tamping stick, this blender annihilates everything you put into it. The wide bottomed container makes it easy for all food to reach the blades, we blended hummus(thick) and it flowed like water up the sides and down the middle to the blades in a nice vortex action.Vitamix – Powerful blender with various control options, but you must use tamping stick for everything because the narrow bottomed jar does not allow contents to naturally fall down to the blade. Also, the Vitamix is overpriced due to it’s overly-marketed name.Blendtec – Powerful blender with equivalent performance to the Waring, but the higher likelihood of failure on the electronic controls is a drawback. Price is higher than the waring.Overall thoughts: Waring is a commercial brand name that has survived in the restaurant industry since the 1950’s. Because they are not overly-marketed, the price is kept low and they have developed a durable and quality product at a very good price point. Beware that any of these blenders is large(waring and vitamix are equal height). The 64 oz containers are tall and may not fit under your cabinets when on the base. Ours just barely slides back under the cabinet with the lid off (we put it behind the container when not in use). This is the best video out there that does an equal comparison of Vitamix, Waring, Blendtec, and JTC blenders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej048qZNxpk SPOILER ALERT: WARING WINS!!

Probably something they would have used on the TV show “Home Improvement” (MORE POWER!)
This blender is GREAT! After burning out my consumer blender trying to purée some green tomatoes, I bought this blender on the recommendation of Chat GPT. Man, those tomatoes didn’t stand a chance. I hit that pulse paddle a few times and I had them demolished. I decided to try making a milkshake, since that tends to give consumer blenders trouble. After scooping in the ice cream and pouring in some milk (about equal parts), I hit the pulse button two or three times and DONE!. I am never going back. This thing has more HP than my Sun Joe wood chipper. I think I could make a smoothie out of a hickory branch. It doesn’t have a bunch of buttons like my consumer blender, but I never used any of them anyway. This thing just WORKS! Keep your hand on the lid when blending though, otherwise you might need a 3.5 HP shop vac to clean up the mess. When storing, I wouldn’t leave that plastic top sealing top of the jar; it was pretty stuck when I first got the thing. I think the plastic will adhere more strongly the longer you leave it in place. I store the top in the jar, but kind of sideways so it is easy to get back out.

Warning! Hazardous manufacturing defect! Purchase at your own risk!***
This unit is dangerous! We have had two versions of waring blenders all end up with the same defect!First few weeks of use were great! This blender was a powerhouse! Then one day it turned on all by itself! Went to look at the switch and it was in the off position so I unplugged it plugged it into a different outlet and again immediately onto high speed. Normally I think this was a fluke, however we have experienced this twice with the MX 1500 digital keypad as well! So I doubt it’s the on and off switchAs the digital keypad version also experiences the same issue! This time it burnt my finger as I was plugging it in and I’m pissed as hell because waring won’t talk to me. All they did is they asked me to fill out a form and mail it back to them along with the unit! They’ll inspect it and if it a warranty issue then they will let me know and send out a new one. This unit is new and is hazardous out of the box! But Waring doesn’t seem to care!Oh My Gawd poor Fred Waring must be rolling over in his grave right about now!

    Eats other blenders for snacks.
If you’re looking for the last blender you’ll ever own, and tired of well known fancy blenders with cool names that stop working a month after the warranty expires because you used it more than once or twice a month, and no customer support when you need it – look no further than this commercial blender, made in the USA by the people who literally invented the blender. So they ought to know what they’re doing. This does one thing, and does it frighteningly well – it blends. And it does it so fast you’ll wonder what happened, and why you waited this long to get one. Oh, and it’s noisy. About as noisy as you might expect something like this to be, but in this case, noise = blending really really fast.Parts are basic, available, and user replaceable if ever needed, with a great warranty, and super heavy duty. Did I mention it was incredibly fast? It laughs mockingly at a pitcher of ice, and at making smoothies, or anything really. This has NO safety features other than just not turning it on with your hand in it, so if you are inclined to put your hand in blenders and hit the switch, you’ll be missing a hand and there won’t be enough left to reattach. So don’t do that. But if you can handle operating an “off-low-high” switch, and/or a “pulse” switch without putting your hand inside – this is for you.Pro tip – don’t blend hot soup (or any liquid for that matter) using the pulse switch, it goes right to high speed instantly. Use the “low” setting, it spins up gradually and doesn’t cause your entire kitchen to look like tomato bisque.

    Volumn and Power!
Love the blender… although the listing for the blender said “Open Box” damaged packaging… the blender is obviously used and cleaned very well but regular wear and tear on the case was evident. Not enough for us to send it back but I was a little put off by the mis-information.
